Here's a little something that automakers and the liars at Stratacomm
and SUV Owners of America won't tell you: Roll your
"Hummer" and you're almost certain to die. (Too bad. Means
one less gas guzzleing Elmer the rest of us will have to put up with.)
Four U.S. soldiers die in vehicle accident
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Four U.S. soldiers died after their Humvee rolled over
during a combat patrol north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said Tuesday.
The soldiers, from the 1st Infantry Division, died from injuries
sustained when their vehicle rolled over Monday night during a patrol
near Khalis, some 40 miles northeast of Baghdad, the military said in
a statement.
The deaths raised the U.S. death toll to 157 since a wave of violence
began on April 1. At least 759 U.S. troops have died in Iraq since the
war began in March 2003.
Nineteen service members have died during the first three days of May.
