Often known as "Shy David," I have been working among the Wiccan community since around 1985CE, almost exclusively in the Orange County, California, area. My chief Wiccan study and spiritualy has centered around the Babylonian / Sumerian / Assyrian Goddess (and Hebrew demon) Lilith. This study of Lilith has focused on the available histortical data, and the stories told about Her by both Her admierers and those who revile and despise Her.

In the year 2002CE I started Coyote Wicca for a variety of reasons, the chief of which was to have a Wiccan Tradition that centered upon the mundane world and humanity's participation in the world, to help ground contemporary Wicca. There has been a trend within contemporary Wicca to drift away from the mundane, Goddess-centric roots of Wicca, and stray into the etherical, mystical, imagineation-centric modes of human though and belief.

I am not denouncing, and I do not denounce, these modes of thought: I am merely attempting, with Coyote Wicca, to restore or add to the Wiccan religion a more Gnostic approach.
