It is a fundamental Article of Faith within Coyote Wicca that each and every human
being on the planet has the Divine mandate to live as one wishes, baring only
activities that harm oneself or others. This includes the right to live where one
wishes when one has the means, without any other individual or organization denying
the desired residency. It includes the right to be employed at a job where
one is willing and able to perform the required tasks. It also includes the right
to worship, or to not worship, as one's conscience dictates. A person has the
right to associate with others; a person has the right to equal pay for equal
work; a person has the right to live free of harassment, intimidation, terrorism,
thought reform, mind control, battery, assault, and fear---- just to list a tiny
fraction of the rights each and every human being has been born with as her or
his birthright.
Coyote Wicca teaches that defending and upholding these rights, in the service of Humanity, is equal to service to Goddess. We believe that we are given the Divine mandate to offer our help to those who cannot or will not defend themselves from tyrants. The following links are for web sites that defend Civil Rights and / or Human Rights. |
| Xenu.net | One tyrant that actively and agressively opposes civil and human rights is the sinister Scientology organization. This business enterprise, which calls itself a "church" for tax-exemption status, is the epitome of a hate group; Scientology Inc. is a Mafia-like organization that exists through terrorism, extortion, bribery, kidnaping, and deceit. |
| ACLU | The American Civil Liberties Union defends United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, mostly in the area of the First Amendment: the right to worship as one pleases or to not worship, and the right to speak and write freely one's ideas and opinions. |
| CCHR | The Center for Civil and Human Rights. |
| Keith Henson | The American hero Keith Henson has been fighting for the First Amendment right to speak one's opinions, in person via protesting and picketing, and on the Internet. For the past six years he has been working hard to defend and protect Scientologists from the sinister Scientology organizaion. |
| Human Rights Web | An excellent resource for those who are interested in becoming a Human Rights Activist. |
| Amnesty International | This fine organization opposes, among other things, torture of prisoners and the so-called "death penalty" world-wide. |
| Lisa McPherson Trust | In the Florida city of Clearwater, Ms. Lisa McPherson was tortured over the span of 17 days, and then killed. The Lisa McPherson Trust was set up to help prevent more deaths at the hands of her captors. |
| National Organizaion for Women | The National Organization for Women has as its chief goal the equal rights and the civil protection of women. Preventing domestic violence is also one of its chief issues. This fine organization also opposes discrimination based upon sexual orientation. |
